wiring loom question

Post by ronie »

I am finishing the wiring of my 1961 mk1 Mini. I bought a brand new loom, but some of the colours of the cables do not match the wiring diagram, or I do not understand exactly where to connect.

Could you give me a hand?

I also bought some bulbs for the binnacle lights, but I cannot get them to sit in place. The bulb holder also look quite different, compared to the original loom.

What type of bulb should I get?

Thank you.

Perhaps this diagram will help

The bunch of black cables with the ring connector need to be grounded to earth.

As for the bulb I would ask the suppler of the loom.

If the diagram is to difficult to read;
On the voltage regulator;
E has 1 black wire
D has 2 Brown/Yellow wires
F has 1 Brown/Green wire
A has 2 Brown wire
A1 has 2 Brown/Blue wires

The black grounding wire should be attached to the speedo housing (its the grounding for the lights in the speedo)

Thank you all.
