Re: Anyone know this car?
The red S is currently owned by Mike Creek and he bought it from Michael Beattie who is on this forum. It’s a lovely car!

Re: Anyone know this car?
Yes Pete, I’ve seen it several times, Michael restored it before Mike bought it. It’s a fantastic late 1275 S and the attention to detail is what sets it apart from other cars. Mike is also a fastidious owner so it will be on the button!

£120,000
F*****g chancers!
You could buy something serious, and the green 997 Cooper with the change.
50-60 years ago, the little S badge meant something. I don't think it does so much now. A very well modified S will get hosed off by a £2500 R53 with a pulley swap so.....
The 997 looks ok for 20 odd grand. The resto isn't perfect but it's good enough and the history seems 'right'.

it’s a bit of a minefield to be honest, sold my “works” replica (complete with LBL plate) for £4.5k a few years agoCostafortune wrote: ↑Wed Nov 13, 2024 6:20 pmPre-Cooper Pete wrote: ↑Wed Nov 13, 2024 3:56 pm I had a look around this yesterday,

Re: Anyone know this car?
I’m surprised they’ve not claimed it’s ex Peter Sellers. Mike Cooper owned it for about a year. Woohoo! A mate of mine is selling a much more original S than that (1071) for just over a third of that daft price.Pre-Cooper Pete wrote: ↑Wed Nov 13, 2024 3:56 pm I had a look around this yesterday,

Re: Anyone know this car?
It does get a a bit tenuous some times, wasn’t there a car that had just been on Mike Coopers’s forecourt, a while ago ( like hundreds have) …. https://youtu.be/KE6-bbdSnn8.Costafortune wrote: ↑Wed Nov 13, 2024 7:54 pmYeah, but the history file.Pete wrote: ↑Wed Nov 13, 2024 7:42 pmI’m surprised they’ve not claimed it’s ex Peter Sellers. PS I think there is another theme tune that is better known, but I couldn’t find it…

Re: Anyone know this car?
What happened to the Cooper S below previously owned by John Cooper, as discovered by Mike Brewer of Wheeler Dealers in the USA a few years back?

Re: Anyone know this car?
It wasn’t owned by John Cooper, he just sold it like the thousands of others he sold over the years but of course and much more importantly the spurious claim brought much more profit.

I think I’m right in saying that’s been for sale for a while?
