Hydrolastic handbrake

Post by rolesyboy »

Does the quadrant go under or on top of the radius arm. Can't remember and looks like underneath but wanted to check as convinced they differ from dry set up. Also I presume the spring and washer goes underneath between quad and radius arm. Any advice appreciated as putting it together today. Aargh. Nothings ever simple

How have you guys found the little clip that holds the quadrant in place. I built mine up but the clip doesn't instill me with much confidence, one tap and it pops off.

Great thanks!

Sorry to hijack the thread but do you guys use and rubber grease on the area under the dust covers on hydro units, or do you just build them up dry?

I treat mine with cavity wax and make sure the drain hole in the boot to the bottom on the rear displacers. Some boots didn't have a hole, not sure if that is an early/late/repro thing so always add one.
