To grow the business and make more money at a guess
They are not really a "car club" in the traditional way but a very slick and organised business who will be looking to expand.

As a former MGOC member and technical author for the MGOC, I was recently told that it was a natural progression because a large percentage of classic MGB and GT owners also have minis. Me included for several years until I sold my monster MGB GT V8 rocket sledge on rails in favour of my smaller and much loved mini Cooper!
