It looks like an early standard production UK built Moke to me. A nice early one, but not Pre Production or anything "truly special".
Nice Moke though.

Re: Early Moke - how early?
Hi Tim, thanks for the reply,
I found some answers that you raised,
The 10 studs instead of 11 question, The reason is the car has had a new roof fitted some time ago,
And This was apparently fitted i am being told by somebody called Run a Moke in Maldon ? apparently the same guy who fitted the new roof had something to do with the tv series prisoner, and the mokes in that series.
So an extra stud has been added on the new roof design possibly, or an extra stud was added to make it more secure.
But originally it did have 10 like you mentioned.
As for the side panels, I have a slightly older picture, and again you are correct in saying they are different size panels, which we have going by this picture, below.

also some details here which possibly makes it older than David Whale's moke i previously showed.
David Whale's moke
ATT 38B
Chassis number #######306
Enginer number 112
Our Moke
ATT 34B
Chassis number #######301
Enginer number 101
Just thought i would share this and see what you thought
Many thanks

Yes i did see that, I am being told our moke was owned by the Totness fire service, it was in ther possession prior to the previous owner having it.
I think the previous owners used to be on the logbook years ago and this is how they knew, But nowadays they dont list all the previous owners anymore so im led to believe.

Re: Early Moke - how early?
Thanks to everyone that has replied so far, very interesting finding things out.
There is a chance my fathers Moke after him owning it for over 45 years will be going up for sale, due to his age and health etc.
This is why i was trying to find as much information as possible on it.
If anyone is interested maybe let me know. I think even now it only has 53,000 miles on it and has been looked after.
Thanks again for the replies

Certainly a lovely Moke, I just hope it doesn't get a Pristine Spruce Green makeover from it's new owner, like all the others !

Re: Early Moke - how early?
This is indeed one of the Mokes from the batch of eight Mokes that were used by the Devon Fire Brigade. They were amongst the very first production Mokes manufactured in June 1964 after the original batch built in December 1963.
Six out of the eight Mokes are known to have survived.
