Anyone heading to Brooklands next week for either showing their cars or hill climbing?

£22.70 in advance or £23.90 on the day (without donation) to get in for an adult, seems steep, I realise theres a museum, but even so.

I’m intending to go. I took my father in law over last summer, if you have the time the museum is really good. Better for the aviation part than the cars and bikes, plus there is Barnes Wallis Stratosphere chamber.

M25/A3 junction works - Ummm, after this weekends closures! Serious congestion regularly on M25 but no complete closures planned. ?? Great venue though with lots to see in the museum as has been said.

I'll be there with a few other classic Mini owners who I've arranged a convoy for in the morning. Brooklands always seems to mark the "proper" start to show season for me. While many will balk at the ticket prices for these events, ultimately everything is expensive these days, and classic Minis (or any other cars for that matter) are an expensive hobby. I figure I could just as easily spend much more money on a single night out drinking in town, which I'd regret the next morning unlike a Mini show!

Makes the MCR Beaulieu event on 9th June look very cheap at £45 for 2 adults plus 2 children with all the attractions available on site, in addition to what I believe to be one of the best "must go to" annual Mini shows. Very good value. You know it is probably one of the best Mini events on the calendar.

MCR said Bulee are to improve their on Field Toilets this year .. about time too .. yet the Bicester Heritage site is often cold & wet yet their wartime Brick Built Toilets are fantastic.
