Thought I'd share

Post by 360gts »

Picked up a couple of tatty front brocade door cards...they did look a tad rotten.....however, some careful cleaning and restoring....!!!
Made two rear cards from them.
Just goes to prove....the old brocade is worth saving.
P.S thanks to Andy Penn for his help on these.

What a transformation 8-) ! It just goes to show what can be achieved with a bit of patience.
There is nothing to beat the original brocade. The Newton stuff is OK - they put a lot of effort into creating it and thank goodness for it - but it does look a bit......well, New!

Pleased to help out Dermot, and having seen them in their original state, you have transformed them ;-)

Cracking job.

Thanks guys...appreciate the feedback.
I never throw any original brocade out...I keep all the small scraps....one day I might just need a small piece to patch something bigger.
I have been looking for a pair of rear cards for a long time. Now, I have a compete interior.

Great job!

All original interior is worth saving unless it's been burned.
