I know this won't be everyone's choice
I'm looking for a recommendation on a good quality deep purple engine paint for a new project
Brush paint.
I've looked at Frost but nothing also Etech only caliper paint from them.
There's the Cadbury purple on Ebay but looks a bit to glittery for me, and I can't find any recommendations on the quality.
Thanks
I used a grey Craftsmaster engine paint on my last build. The block was chemically cleaned, so no rust and it started to show rust through the paint within 6 months. I wasn’t impressed. I’m constantly touching it up. I’ve never had that happen on any engine before.
I’ve tried Rustoleum on my latest engine, they do pretty much any colour.

Can't beat a bit of Deep Purple to go with the engine roar
You don't need any special engine paint. The "Spraying Enamel" I put on my engine over 25 years ago is still fine ..bit chipped around the edges but hey..
As the guy in the paint shop said ...if the engine gets hot enough to burn the paint then you've got bigger problems on your hand....
