Can You Identify This Next Part?

Post by cobolman »

Per my first post:

A couple of weeks ago, I bought a 1960 Austin Seven project. I'm new to the Mini (but experienced in project work on the MGB)

My Mini arrived as a rolling chassis with a ton of parts. I've just finished going through the parts but cannot identify a few of them. Here's the second item. Can anyone identify what it is and where it fits?

If it helps, I have just one of these and it appears to be constructed from anodised metal. The image is shown against a cardboard background

Thanks in advance

Maybe a couple more pics?
Whats the end profile look like?
Measurements by any chance?

I'm not an expert like many here-
But that looks like it could be several different things right off hand...

Window slide trim goes under window glass in doors.
Sill kick plate/ trim.
Replacement rocker panel portion
Or several other possibles.

It's just very difficult to see, and one plane dimension in the photo limits identification some.

1964 mk1 Austin Cooper "Dianna"
Tartan red and black
I can't take credit for what others built- all I can do is try to put her back on the road.

You just can't fix stupid... you can hide it sometimes though...

Good points Joel. Happy to supply.

I've attached a couple more images.

The piece is just over a metre long
