Its an Aussie car with the wind-up windows, most likely a 998 Deluxe built between '65 and '69. I don't recognise the location, maybe one of Sydney's eastern suburbs, could even be NZ.

In the early 1970,s there were still some unpainted Mini Fiberglass Bodyshells located outside at the Pressed Steel Factory in Cowley.. the floors evidently did not have drain holes as they were filled with long standing rain water.

I seem to recall they are Bloody Heavy when compaired to a steel Mini shell

Ah, yes, the plastic bodyshells. My old pal Mick from Didcot bought or acquired one and built it up. I THINK that he's still got it..... A rare bird in the mini world I'd say

It is a prototype GRP. Production cars were built in Chile. As stated a handful produced at PSF Cowley. Moulds were produced by Peel Engineering on Isle of Man. Moulds sent to Cowley and prototypes made there. Then moulds sent to Chile to start production there. One was sent to Fibreglass Ltd Wirral (Pilkington Group) for evaluation which I now own and one is in Gaydon.
As mentioned previously they had Mk1 lights and rear screen but Mk2 badging, seats and other features along with Riley Elf dashboard.
Might take mine to Bingley Hall in January all being well.

Not sure if this belongs here or in the thread about my SDL.... but anyway!

When I got my 'Norm' there was a carrier bag full of old magazine pages/cuttings that the former owner had obviously kept, along with some old MOT/tax disc bits etc

I'm in the process of scanning all of this and uploading to the mighty Google - here's a link to what I've got done so far....

https://photos.app.goo.gl/NuUzJW6ws3iAr44z8

This is probably half of the total documents I have for Norm - I'll keep plodding away at it so if it piques your interest then do check back :-)
