UKminis storage robbed, 4 minis gone

For the those not in the know UKminis is a well known 'raffle' type setup, based in Yorkshire i believe, you buy a ticket, answer a piss easy question and you're in with a chance of winning something nice.
i bet its a nice earner.

Anyway..breaking story is that his joint work/personal storage was broken into overnight and cars and parts stolen. List below.
The Vtec mini was the christmas day special and i was about to buy a ticket.

So horrible!! I generally buy a ticket or two when something nice comes up...last year I took home an '89 Mini Thirty with a Vmaxscart supercharger on it - absolutely beautiful car.

Do the criminals part them out and dispose of the shell? Seems they'd be too 'known' to sell whole, no? I suppose I wouldn't make a very good criminal.

People are crap. Oh...present company excluded.

Sad to hear this today! I recently sold one of my mini’s to UK Mini’s
They attempted to steal it but luckily didn’t manage to get it.

A837YUX 1380 FAST ROAD MINI, Island blue with black roof & arches, MK1 styling and freshly built 1380 with a few unique bits.
F147ANX 1380 CONCOURSE MINI, Black, lots of carbon.

My MK1 S had been moved to one of my other warehouses a few days before, which is a blessing.

Please keep an eye out for these, most likely in parts as they are defo to hot to sell as complete Minis now.

Sadly a bit late in our view.
Finding out the details from the vid did answer a lot of questions that had been asked or commented upon on social media, about cctv etc, and the exact timings.

Having seen the timings and found the location on google maps (took me all of 2 minutes) I then checked images from all the weather stations we have within about 50 mile radius.(static images every 10 minutes) Very, very! quiet on the roads at that time of the morning and any movements over a good distance would have been more and more likely to have been spotted.
I'd be amazed if they have traveled far. It would be nice to think they could be recovered as is but with no leads that we are being made aware of its unlikely as time passes.
If you assume its not pre-meditated and If its someone who knows what they have,then the value is in scrapping them for parts, if not then its a quick weighing in session at a local dodgy scrapyard, and to go to the hassle of transporting that lot you'd assume the former?

I have to say the security shown wasn't very impressive.

So what did they take them away in or on? Does anybody know? Audacious doesn’t cover it really does it, I’ve never heard of a Mini heist on this scale before, those cars have got turn up surely but I do wonder if all the publicity will panic the thieves into destroying what they’ve nicked now they realise how hot the cars all are. Who knows, hope they’re found! Do agree about the security though our units have more cameras, more doors, bigger locks etc and they still do occasionally get targeted!

He says in the video they also stole his trailer which presumably was used for at least one of the Minis. Also said the Mini Pick-up did not have an engine fitted at the time.
They also indicated it looks like the original target was the 3000 litres of diesel from the tanks (presumably on the site for the farm vehicles). Stealing large quantities of diesel is also a kind of theft which needs suitable mobile tanks/equipment and would not normally be the target of professional car thieves...
I am guessing the security was pretty poor due to UK Minis only having moved in to the premises a week or so before....although of course better locks, CCTV, alarms, etc should really have been installed in advance. Not sure better locks would have helped much as it seemed one of the buildings was entered by just removing a panel from the outside wall rather than via a door?

Guy had a Landrover for towing his Kids Hose-box .. came out one morning & the LR was gone .. reported to Police as stolen.. 3 weeks later Police rang to say this LR is Found in a Traveler Camp..Police we do not go in there without a response unit... leave it with us.. Police called back later to say all that remains is the LR chassis .. Insurance paid out.
