Heritage Certificate confusion....

Post by Donutsforminis »

Hello all,
I recently purchased a Heritage Certificate for a CKD Mini and in the "Other information" section it has normally said.."the dates quoted refer to the CKD and not the assembled vehicle".
They have now decided to add another sentence at the end stating..." This is a 19?? model year vehicle".
For example if your CKD Mini was despatched from Longbridge in December 1961 they will now state that "...this is a 1962 model year vehicle" on your Heritage Certificate.
Has anyone come across this?
Does anyone have a recent Heritage Certificate for a CKD that does not state the "model year ".
Any information would be greatly appreciated.

Mine states built march 60, registered 1 January 60, so they seem a bit muddled when they're CKD assembled. I'm fairly sure mine was initially built 59 then dispatched and built up early 60.

Maybe the CKD kits included a time machine ?
