Door panel vinyl paint.

Post by Sixty2B »

My '66 Cooper has the original door panels which I'd like to, obviously, keep.
The problem is that glue has leached through from the hardboard and stained it.
I'd like to paint them with vinyl spray paint.
I've done this before with good results.
The place I used then has closed, so any recommendations please... 🙂

I used the duplicolor spray to paint the seats and the panels and it worked pretty good, with a little time you can do it yourself specially the panels since they don´t have bendings. Straightfoward job.

My panels are very simple no flutes or ribbed sections because is a 60's mini but if your panels are not completly plain, you may need a sponge brush to spread the paint between the flutes.

Thanks for the info.
My only concern is getting the correct colour, Dove Grey.
There must be many variations...

As said in my link above. Mixed to match or off the shelf. Many people have ordered Dove grey with no issues.
