I'm planning on putting an oval binnacle into my '65 850, which originally had the single round gauge. However, the one I bought a while ago has 6 holes and none of them line up with the 4 originally in my car. Fair enough... But I'm wondering if early oval binnacles ever came in a four bolt pattern? I don't want to have to drill my dash if I don't have to.
Thanks!

Re: Oval binnacle bolt patterns?
Hi Warwick,
The reason you dont find the extra holes, is that on a early Mini, you fit the binnacle with this plate http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/MK1-MINI-COOP ... 4ab6250a11
its attached with 2 brackets, to your existing White speedo housing, and then you fit this on it, http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Binnacle-Inst ... 5649971d34
