Aussi Mk1 hornpush question

I have this picture for a long time now and was wandering if someone knows more about it ?
I do like it a lot so if someone has one (just the push it self) for sale or knows one for sale please let me know.

I don't know what that comes from. My Australian assembled Mk1 certainly didn't have it - just the standard "M" for Morris button

That does look quite nice but I'm sorry, I've never seen one fitted to any car.

As Old English White said, I've only ever seen the ' M ' type push button fitted to the Minis and ADO16's. They never sold Minis under the Austin name here.

I’ve seen a couple for sale over the last couple of years and tried to buy some, but haven’t got one yet. I’m not sure that it’s a factory mini item and looks to me like the button was a bit bigger than normal?

The early BMC Australia logo had the BMC seal over a map similar to the horn button

Maybe the button was made from the larger one to fit the mk1 profile in a small batch.
The picture from this hornpush was taken from the auction site but the price went to high to buy it including the P&P from Australia.

I am pretty sure someone has put the Freeway centre into a Mk1 Horn push. I have done the same in the past for my own car.

25 years ago mate, the car is long gone.

I finally tracked one down! After doing a bit more searching I found out they were also fitted to the Morris Major Elite and this one appears to come from a Major. The horn button and chrome trim are interchangeable with the mini items and the keyway is on the correct side too
