Has anyone found a good supplier for the card/foil demister ducts, think its 36" long per side.

There is a guy who attends local autojumbles in the North of England who often has this stuff. Sadly I don't know his name though.

I have used Henry Hoover pipe on my last couple of cars.

Much more resilient than the card / tin foil stuff.

Anyone found a good supplier for the card/foil heater to demister duct for the Mk1?
32mm ID.
I found a 2 ply silicon one on Ebay, but not quite the same.

It is still possible to get this stuff made to the original spec, but the amounts needed for an order make it uneconomic to do.

These are early Porsche, screen ducts. Virtually identical to original BMC. And they are cheap! Order from your Porsche dealer, part number for your reference 😃😊😉

You'd better watch. Porsche will catch on to this sudden demand and whack the prices up :)

One of my pet hates is walking into these "premium" dealerships for parts and having them look down their noses at the oink in oily overalls on their pristine floors. Some sensibly have the parts counter round the back of the showroom but the ones I've had to frequent have been through main reception where all of the suited and booted salesmen look at you in disgust for daring to enter their shrine. Maybe it's just me :).

Have bought lots of stuff from the Leeds Porsche centre (mainly for my Brother) and have always found the parts guys knowledgable & helpful.

Waits for the enterprising soul that takes them out of the packet and adds a BMC repro label for their eBay sale site at £15 each.....

You’ll be pleased with them! Only came across them cause I was doing a parts list for a guy restoring a 911 and 356 . Bonus was he was a rally lad from years ago and owned a Harry Rat tuned 1071 back in the day.
