Centre speedo binnacle seal 66 MK1

Post by Austinmini1966 »

Just wondering if anyone could confirm if the white plastic centre speedo binnacle that bolts to the front bulkhead is suppose to have a seal or any form of sealant between it?

Many thanks

I used the same stuff I reckon. Worked a treat. I think it is a caulking strip - 3M 08568?

I used to use some stuff colloquially known as "White dog shit" it was pretty much identical to the original sealer used by BMC. Sadly you can't buy it anymore.

The original used by BMC was - Glastikon caulking compound, Part No. 94938

Unless anyone knows better, I'd suggest white plumbers putty.
