1-piece rear decklid

didn´t know this one..... :shock:

.......that's right, the full compliment of Brocade trim is inside the car, that means the 1-piece rear decklid brocade is there! That piece alone could fetch in the 4 figures since the reproductions are 2 pieces stitched together and anyone doing a proper restoration of a Cooper or Cooper S would give their eye teeth for an original.

He is right regarding the what we would call rear parcel shelf cover, the originals were 1 piece, the Newton commercial ones come in 2 or even 3 pieces & are stitched together.

However, some of the flowery bullshit in the rest of the listing did make me chuckle. I particularly liked the following;

"But the original Coopers (pre Cooper S) are far more rare"

Are they indeed, that must be because they made 10 times more Coopers than Cooper S's.

True Mark, but we have a saying over here in Aus, "Of the 5000 odd Cooper S's made, only 7500 are still around!" :lol:

The same can't be said of plain old Coopers, more likely to have been scrapped over the years :roll:
