You certainly don't see many Metros now. A late one is languishing just off the forcourt of a small used car lot in Stanton Harcourt on the A415 near here. Nice to see Brian Foley pictured. Saw him racing at Pukakohe Auckland in Autumn of 67 while working in NZ. What really impressed me was how he could eat the big stuff alive on the bends and curves

Bad luck for this Mk3 in the 70th but it's still there in a very good condition after all these years.

The quotes from window cleaners were too high for potential buyers and self cleaning glass had not yet been invented....

Also looks like the future might have been rather hot in summer and rather cold in winter!

The future left Ol Blighty because of neglect. ;)

In Austria we have plenty of houses similar to this style. Nowadays with decent insulation and triple-glasing, etc.
Yes I am a nerd: I am researching the Austrian Mini-racing scene of the 60s and 70s :ugeek:

Dont need to fret over the fence...No Garage!
Looks like the end over the garage has gone and the plot sold off?

Garage is still there they’ve just gone with naff upvc. People can really ruin a great bit of architecture. Birmingham library was fab when I was little then they ruined it by putting shops in the open atrium coz every bit of brilliant architecture is improved by adding a McDonald’s!
