Gasket help

Post by smp »

Is this the correct rubber gasket for the cable bracket? If so, does anyone know where to get them?

Thanks

Yes, "grommet", my mistake !

WRT Somerford part , I note it is not the same shape or colour. I was hoping someone would know if the tan colour is correct, and if so, where to find one.

Thanks

My book says RFR103 but that doesn’t give any more helpful results when searching

The red grommets were fitted to the throttle cable and the petrol pipe coming up through the bulkhead bracket...they were impervious to oil/fumes contamination. I have seen them fitted to the battery cable as well on automatics.
I had some old stock somewhere....if I find them you are welcome to one.
Think the mini suppliers sell black rubber now.
Cheers

Thank you to everyone who replied.

If anyone has a red/brown one knocking about at the bottom of a tool box, I would love to buy it.
Dermott, if you find them, please let me know,

Cheers

Just want to say a big thank you to 1071bob for sorting one for me

Also thought it might be worth showing what a proper grommet looks like !
