Bit off topic

Congratulations to the British Government on approving a huge new oilfield in the North Sea....this site has an estimate of over 300 million barrels.
(Second big decision they have made in the past couple of weeks)

Let's hope this will benefit the British people and not sold to other countries.
Makes a lot of sense....sure there will be greenies jumping off bridges etc.😁

We cannot even build a pipeline let alone approve a new drilling site.

Those bridges the greenies might jump off could not have been built without oil....

Also makes me laugh when it is revealed that 'Stop oil' protesters have often posted recent holiday photos on social media sharing their travels all over the world to exotic destinations....I somehow doubt they cycled there!

Not to mention King Charles preaching to us about climate change on his recent state visit to France having traveled there and back on a private jet...what was wrong with him using the London to Paris Eurostar train/channel tunnel opened by his mother Queen Elizabeth II back in 1994?

Never understand why they would rather we import gas and oil (using more energy) rather than use our own. Truly believe we have gone mad.

Sounds great in a Government press release but there’s a reason why it has not been developed in the decades since discovery and it’s nothing to do with environmental concerns. It is simply so far out to sea and so deep it is almost unprofitable to drill there. It is also 80% Norwegian but they didn’t mention that bit.
