See a mini cooper s mk1 advertised on Facebook for sale in florida .agree to buy it and arrange a holiday in a week for me and the kids to buy the car arrange a recovery truck to pick up and take to the docks. And then go to disney after .I was sending emails backing and forwards all week . Arrange the shipping company. A recovery truck . Notorized receipt. Visas . I went to money exchange place in uk and got the us dollars to pay for the cooper s . I flew over with the us dollars in cash in my back pack .
A trip that I was told was far fetched and crazy. Driving in usa . Left hand drive automatic on left hand side of the road was certainly a challenge!. But we pulled it off . so stayed about 50 miles away.went to the sellers address for 8am . Recovery truck collected at 10.30am and took to the docks . So whats the furthest you travelled to go buy a car ? i travelled 4500miles to do the deal on this one !
according to the heritage certificate the 1275s was made on 22 sep 64 in tweek grey . left factory dry. cooper s is in solid condition. i have changed the boot floor . floors were good . didn’t need changing . its had a new front panel . no more welding needed . i will update with my progress. thanks. peter
