Something change with images by chance?

Post by Joel Welsh 4769VU »

I'm getting an "image too large" error message lately when trying to post pictures.

The last couple files i tried to post were dropped to:
312kb
120kb
And even 39kb

All came back as too large to upload?

I can't take credit for what others built- all I can do is try to put her back on the road.

You just can't fix stupid... you can hide it sometimes though...

It does say maximum size 512kb

It could be that they are an incompatible file type?

I have had problems with my iPhone trying to upload “live” images. If I duplicate them as “still” images this normally solves the problem

No sir, standard .jpeg.

Same phone, android system.
Same camera, same app/program for resizing and editing that I've previously used.

Just recently been unable to upload.
I've updated the app just today- thinking it might help, to no avail.

The last time it worked was on the 4th this month.

The way the file has been compressed is odd. When you sent me it it was 3mb in size, but was very small dimensionally.

As soon as I resaved the picture it went down to 49k and uploaded fine.

I did nothing else to it, other than resave the image.

The issue is with the program you are using to compress the image, although it is making it smaller, it is not reducing the file size.

You do not have the required permissions to view the files attached to this post.

Mark-
An odd situation i noticed and found my resolution with imagery!

When updating my app- a setting defaulted to "motion" or "burst" picture mode.

This is what was causing the different compression in the images, and a weird file size.
Just a note for future referance for android users.
