Elf Hornet Mk 1 Doors compatability??

Hi All. I have a Mk 2 Cooper project on the go at the moment. I was given a pair of doors with it and they appear to have been fitted with the chrome waist rail and the clips securing the upper chrome door mouldings are more substantial than the usual rivets found on MK 1 Cooper saloon doors. My question is are the doors different on an Elf or Hornet? The lower front leading edge is curved as opposed to square but I seem to recall they differ in some way. Cheers. Mark

External hinge doors are essentially the same albeit with a few modest changes over the years and in theory will fit your Mk2.

Sounds like it has the early trim clips for the top chrome (Cooper had the same type) - be careful taking the trims off as those clips are very very difficult to find
