Chassis plate Philips screws
Have had a good search but cant find them, anyone know where can get the two Philips screws that hold the chassis plate on?
Or alternatively know the size…..
Even gone through the nut and bolt box…..found all sorts just not these……

Think they are the same size as used on the MK1 heater panels. # 6 X 1/4"

This is one of the Screws from my 62 Cooper's Chassis Plate. It was never out of the engine bay till today...

Thats brilliant, thanks, folks, just gone through the nut and bolt box again and think I might of found a couple, will check the measurements.

The recent discussion on chassis plates is making me wonder about a screw with a nut on the inside to keep it more secure???

Logical thinking, keep them safe, also, might be easier to find new screws.
I have searched high and low for the self tappers without any luck, found them in stainless but not BZP, personally I think SS will look out of place on an oxidised (ing) label……
I dare say someone will sell them, maybe just not on the internet….

A D fasteners have them in zinc plated finish.

Philips 6 x 1/4" Zinc finish....the picture is a generic picture of range not length

Agreed, I pop rivet them on, less likely for a light fingered passer by to have them away
