Evening all, I have a 1970 Mk2 S block and I'm curious as to how these compare in bare weight to the solid chest 1100s blocks. Does anyone have figures to share?
My curiosity was sparked by a conversation with a mate who has a Chapmanesque obsession with weight reduction.

This site has a weight for the A+:
http://www.miniweights.co.uk/engine.html
Engine Block 1275 A+ (Bare with Main Bearing Caps Fitted): 34.5 kg
For anyone from the UK - the Aussie 1100S block is a standard 1275 non S with no removable tappet covers
