Front panel bracket

Post by abri »

The diagonal bracket next to the oil cooler on the front panel of 1275 S cars changed from being fitted with rivets to being welded in. Does anyone know what the changeover date was?

I have an October '66 car with riveted bracket...or at least rivet holes in place but no bracket. If what you're saying is true, I wonder if the shell is that much earlier than the rest of the car :?: . It would have been CKD, so I guess could be possible, but it seems unlikely.

I have another one with more or less the same date but with a welded bracket.

I have a Jan 67 with rivetted diagonal - it isnt the original panel though so it could have been changed.
