96 Rover Mini Cooper Engine Mounts Question?
Hello - Can anyone advise if it possible to replace the engine mounts on a 96 Rover Mini Cooper without removing the engine?

Re: 96 Rover Mini Cooper Engine Mounts Question?
You’ll essentially need to remove the engine from the subframe and suspend each side while you replace the mounts. The drivers side under the clutch might be slightly easier, but I think you’ll have to remove the radiator and engine bracket to get to the other one. I normally replace them with the engine out
I can imagine it’d be a difficult job in a 1996 mini with all the extra stuff in the engine bay

Yep, changed more than I care to count, and you don't need to remove radiator to do L/H side.
R/H side the main issue is the brake booster is in the way and on some models aircon rad and ECU. I prefer to whip off the clutch cover rather than fumble about trying to access mount bolts in situ.
On L/H side you can undo mount to subframe bolts, jack side of motor up slightly then undo horizontal bolts connecting rad cowl to engine mount bracket and mount bracket to gearbox. The whole mount bracket can then be wiggled out and withdrawn through the front grill hole in front panel.
