Starter Solenoids

anyone know of a good supplier of starter solenoids, not the Chinese stuff yo get from Moss & other suppliers

I had one fall apart on me so ordered one from a different supplier. I think they are all chinese just luck of the draw if it's going to last.

The current one that is lasting so far is from; AGM component solutions ( via ebay)
But as I said it maybe luck..

Find a working original one. It will no doubt outlast all the repros, wherever they came from.

Well don't take my advice above as the other day just before leaving for Yattendon car show the solenoid destroyed itself.
I shorted the terminals with a screwdriver to get me going and while at the show a very nice chap from the Basingstoke mini club sorted me out with a later style solonoid .
I fitted it there and then all good.
I'm on the hunt now for an old original working slonoid not these dodgy chinese ones............

in my experience the original Lucas Starter Solenoids fail due to internal corrosion probably due to condensation ?.. in that the Coil windings to earth Wire losses its contact with the solenoid inner case ..the only way to see this is to destroy the Solenoids outer body crimp ..
Meantime i find these Chinese Solenoids even the Durite tend to run the starter motor slower .. or is it just me that thinks my A Series engine is Happy to start when it gets a high speed starter turnover when starting?
