AEG163 Head Thickness

Hi, wondered if someone could please help? Do you know if the 163 head should be thinner than the 940 head? I understand the 940 should measure 2.75 inch’s. I know the valves were shorter for the 163 head. The head is around 60 thou less in thickness but the combustion chambers look un modified and surface does not appear to have been excessively skimmed. The chambers still have 21cc volume! Thanks. I have an untouched 163 here that measures 2.75" if that helps.
