I too have ditched RH after many years for the exact same reason.

Firstly a big price hike and secondly useless call centre with useless people. Seem to have little understanding of classic cars.

Hmm, have to see what comes through then, did get a quote from Goodwood classic insurance for one car as a comparison so I’ll have something to go on

Just had cause to query my renewal with Hagerty as it had jumped £200. It seems that their system has a glitch whereby it’s not taking off Club / motor club discounts !! Needless to say a much better premium and with them again.

Mmm… a computer glitch they knew about but haven’t contacted their customers to tell them? That’s not the story I got off them.

Well generally I’d be skeptical but the chap I deal with is a friend through motorsport so would trust his answer in fairness to him.

I would be wary of Lancaster as my father had a fuse box fire on his UR quattro and they were ready to right it off for the molten fuse box and some paint scorching as it was only a 1990 Audi saloon to them! When we argued the case they eventually paid up for the body damage but wouldn't do anything with the fuse box as a new one was not available so I ended up having to sort that myself so it could be driven to the bodyshop!
