Drive past this quite a bit, still looks the same although I noticed they'd scaffolded it up recently.

I think if you lived through 'the big freeze' a weeks wages on antifreeze only a few months later would have been money well spent!

I wonder if anyone can help, I'm researching two cars presently and looking for period pictures...

Bradburn and Wedge, Darlington St, Wolverhampton circa October 1965.
My brothers VdP 4ltr R, Cowley built, shipped to Kingsbury works, was dispatched to this dealership/Distributor in the mid summer '65, and was registered 1st Oct. What I've not found is whether this site was actively a VdP outlet or whether they were just passing it through to one of the satellite sites.
I do know that the Black Country Museum garage is based upon B&W's facade. But this site was demolished in 1970 to make way for the Wolverhapton Ring road. Cant find many on line images of the site, just long shot street view which just happen to have the facade in frame..

Second car is much later. Ideally circa 1999, Huddersfield Rover on Southgate. Could well have been trading under the Perrys banner still.Any pictures of what the site looked like in this period?

It is - I drove by it a couple of times earlier in the week, I keep meaning to stop and take a photo but the road is very busy throughout the day ;)

it was the oldest garage in the UK when Ralph gave it up, I'll see if I can dig up the article.
