Will the hardy spicer splined couplings fit on to Mk 1 Cooper S 1965 drive shafts . The existing couplings are the type used for rubber doughnut type devices.
Thinking of changing as the ‘doughnut type couplings are very close to the mini spares exhaust down pipe

Re: Hardy spicer splines
They are the same for rubber cross and hardy spicer
Pot joints are different and also have circlips

Re: Hardy spicer splines
For remote and magic wand diffs they are all the same post-1960 until introduction of the rod change box (pot joints) in 1973.
Pre-1961 yokes look superficially the same but driveshafts had different spline profile and count, so won’t interchange.

Re: Hardy spicer splines
The shafts that run rubbers are longer by about 10mm than the S/auto type defined by the blob on the shaft, they will fit but slightly more difficult when putting in power unit as won’t slide back as far.
