Slinger Bracket Innocenti

Hi Folks!

Does somebody knows if the early 70ies Innocenti's had the Slinger Brackets mounted to all four Corners of the Floor Panel?

I have here a very original 1971 Innocenti 1001 wich not have these Brackets at all.

Would be a shame if whe weld them on if they don't belong there...

Hi Fabian, I have a 1973 Innocenti shell in very original unmodified condition with no slinging brackets so I would say that yours probably wouldn’t have had them either, hope this helps, cheers Mark.

My very original 72 Inno Cooper 1300: No slinger brackets fitted.

The four brackets and captive nuts brackets inside the sills, used on the assembly lines I think.
I use mine for high stand/trolley mounts.

I had to google it as well, never heard the term before. But I can also confirm my 1300 Export doesn't have them AFAIK but then I'm also pretty sure the floor's not 100% original either.

Just watch an assembly line video of the Inno factory, they used a different assembly line trolly system than BMC, this could explain the lack of brackets.

I hadn't heard the term before either - but instinctively knew what he was on about. Simply as I had thought about fitting some as an upgrade - they seem useful for putting the shell on stands.

The Problem is if you put the stands under these Brackets, they will bend and also bend the floor...

Yes, they will bend the floor if used that way, but those brackets are just there to locate the trolley brackets with my system. You need to have all the internal brackets inside the sills to transfer all the loads into the shell. My car has just done a hundred mile round trip to the paint shop on the trolley inside a trailer without any issues with the floor bending.
