I have not had any issues with ParcelForce to be honest.

I did look into FedEx the other day after someone on here recommended them. However there’s no drop off point for miles and miles from me and collection is not really an option.

So it’ll have to be PF or Evri (and despite other peoples experiences, I’ve not this far had a problem.)

Well. I'm glad someone's having a good experience with Parcelforce, round my way, they are notorious for non-delivery and worse - absolutely smashing items to pieces, and not necessarily delicate things either. A friend once had a substantial solid oak coffee table literally reduced to matchsticks by their 'service'!

The problems are normally are down to individual employees rather than the company themselves.
Years ago we had awful problems with DPD. Non delivery, claimed they tried to deliver when they didn’t etc etc. Then another guy took over the round and never had an problem since.
That said, the biggest issue is usually how the company deals (or doesn’t deal) with problems .

Very true, I find building up a friendly rapport with the local delivery guys goes a long way, particularly when living in a slightly awkward to find isolated hovel as we do. :D I always have a bit of a chat and laugh now with our regular DPD, DHL and Evri drivers, and I think that makes their day a bit better, the fact someone is taking time to be friendly with them and pass the time of day and my items arrive better too, win, win.

Great result today just received some urgent samples, only problem was I sent them to China 6 months ago and have had to replicate them when they failed to arrive in China so why they have come back rather than arrive at our manufacturer I will never know, well done DPD. :?

You're right Andrew. Very hit and miss. On the plus side I posted some small parts after 4.30pm yesterday in a jiffy bag. No hurry for them, so used 2nd class post. They arrived more than 100miles away before 10.00 this morning.
On the other hand, I got a text message last week from a friend thanking us for the Christmas card they'd received that day which we'd posted to them about 10days before Christmas :( Correctly addressed too! Makes no sense does it....

I went to post a small medium weight parcel to SC in the USA today, tracked and signed for. NO CAN DO they tell me until the cyber attack fiasco is sorted out. At least I can email him and tell him of the delay.............

They aren't accepting any international parcels at post offices, but you can book them online for collection.

I did it today.

Why this is the case is beyond my understanding!

You can also take them into the Post Office Mark after doing the label bit and paying online ... now that makes absolutely no sense !! Even the people in the PO can't work that out !!
