Morning folks, I'm struggling to find the right battery over the counter for my '68 Mk2 Cooper, there are plenty in our local Halfords that will fit nicely into the battery tray but none of them have the terminals the right way round for negative earth - any specific recommendations would be much appreciated, online or otherwise. I have seen some very small ones for sale here and there and used them in the past, but they don't seem to last very long.
I bought this one from Halfords , fits well, maybe a little narrow so Ive made a piece of wood to take it away from the Right Hand tank.
Bought it two years ago for £72, and its now on offer at £69.99
I've used a Halfords 013 in mine. Just fits the battery box and is higher output. The positive terminal sits at the right hand side at the front, fine if you don't have twin tanks and it's well clear of the battery clamp. (Photo shows a previous 013 that I borrowed).

I’ve managed to squeeze the Halfords HB075 in my Mk3 S and Rover SPi. It’s tight but just fits. So snug that you could probably do away with the battery clamp…

Yup, same as the one I fitted 075. Think it's for a Peugeot diesel so starting a mini engine is be a breeze.
