AKD 3510
I have been using this manual for my 1966 Austin Cooper S ( body= 55836 car= 892659 ).
Based on the above page it would appear AKD 3510 does not apply specifically to my “S”.
Am I reading this correctly?
If so is there another manual for later “S” Minis?

Re: AKD 3510
My Version (issue 5) covers the entire production numbers.
Page 10 (issue 4) from car 384101 to 1066319 Austin and 384601 t0 1066320 Morris.
Page 11 shows the cars that were intermittingly produced.
Cheers

Re: AKD 3510
Thanks Dermott.
But ... I am getting more confused!
My Page 10 (shown above) indicates “Issue 2” at the bottom of the page.
The pages in the BK “Trimming Details” section have various “issue” numbers at the bottom of its pages.
I will need to investigate how BMC manuals are created and updated.

Re: AKD 3510
Many technical manuals I've seen have sections or even single pages updated separately.
There might have been a list somewhere showing the updates now lost in the mists of time.

Check Page 19 of AKD 3510 - it is the Index to Revised Pages/Illustrations. Tells you the version you should have of a particular page so you can work out if your revisions are complete and up to date.
The power of accurate observation is commonly called cynicism by those who do not possess it.

Re: AKD 3510
So... I viewed Page 19.
It does not have a release/issue date so it is not possible to tell if I have an up-to-date Page 19.
A few of the versions listed on Page 19 are not contained in the manual which indicates this particular copy of the manual is not up-to-date.
Is there a complete and up-to-date manual available on-line or for purchase?

Re: AKD 3510
The BMC manuals were issued as a base version, updated by a series of revision packs or "Circulations". I have one of these (Circulation 20) for AKD3509 and it has 15 revised pages plus a page listing these new pages and a further page showing the latest versions of all revised pages (but not when they were changed). These two summary pages were normally included as pages 14 & 19 (as mentioned earlier by Simon) of AKD3510, and were intended to replace the earlier versions when the other new pages were added. Unfortunately, the Circulation number was not shown on early versions of these pages.rogerotto66s wrote: ↑Mon Dec 26, 2022 6:45 pm But ... I am getting more confused!

The issue numbers at the foot of the pages were not updated unless a page had changed, so a reissue of a double-sided page might have a new number on one side but still have an earlier one on the other side. An example of this is the index page (page 1) of AKD3510 which might have "Issue 5" on page 1 but "Issue 2" on page 2. The "Issue 5" on page 1 doesn't mean that the whole manual is the 5th version, but merely that that particular page has been revised five times.
