Braiding tracer colours for a 1964 1275 S
Hi all - I'm getting bits together to restore a 1275 S - 1964.
I'm in Australia and want to get the loom made locally after having problems with my GTM loom I bought from the UK.
I know the 1071 was a double white and single blue tracer in the weaving, but can anyone tell me what a 1275 would have had.
Can find no reference to anything on the web
regards and Merry Christmas to all
Steve

If it is a dry car I'm pretty sure it is the same loom

Eager to help, but I don''t think that you have given us nearly enough info to even start to answer the question......

Hello Steve,
Have you had a chat with Bygone Spares and Restorations in WA.
He seems very knowledgable and lists his reproduction wiring looms for minis by chassis numbers.

What’s left of my April 1967 S original loom has a single light blue, almost silver, tracer.

My car was a Canadian delivered 1275 S, August 1966 build with what I believe is the original wiring harness. It has a single yellow tracer.

A Cooper and not an S originally then Steve? That would make a difference. I dug out an old early 64 (Pre Hydro) S loom, and can confirm that it is the blue tracer version. BTW the double stripes are yellow not white, but they certainly fade to that in places.steveg3731 wrote: ↑Sat Dec 10, 2022 3:24 am Thanks for your replies - Peter asked for more info

The one from Auto Sparks shows it well:

The early car looms have detail differences, mostly to do with the key start. Here's a link to the options:

Definitely a "S" - 9FSaY number for the engine and 1964 - not 1962

AAAhhhhhhhh

In that case the blue tracer type with two yellows is what's required, at least it is in the UK cars.
