1275s LCB recommendation

Post by ateichert »

Can anybody recommend a LCB for a stock 69-71 1275s engine. There seems to be a lot of choices.
Thanks Mike

I took the LCB off my 1275 S and fitted a Maniflow freeflow, with L71 adaptor to join up to the front pipe

Ensure your new LCB is suitable for what type of Drive Shaft Coupling you are using to make sure there is sufficient clearance between the components.
Then when fitting make sure that LCB center pipe Flange to the Cyl;head there is some clearance so LCB central flange will not touch the underside of the inlet manifold when it is all bolted up ;)

I used a Maniflow LCB with a maniflow exhaust on my last mini though I did have a couple from Special Tuning in Abingdon years ago A three branch which was not a good buy and an LCB which as far as I could see is what Maniflow make now

Perrys - better than Maniflow and much easier to fit.

Never heard of them. Any Link available?

Sadly, they don't do themselves any favours by not having an on-line listing, but this is one type here;-

Seems reasonably priced too, if I factor out customs and shipping

I do like them. I think I can buy Maniflows locally cheaper than these, but I'm happy to pay that bit extra for the Perrys.
