Remote gear lever bush. Cooper s

Can someone please answer my previous query. I have the old bush set up with a short bush and a spring. Will the later bush replace all this? My previous query was removed before being resolved. I appear to have a slackness where the lever tries to engage 5th gear when moving from 2nd to 3rd. Obviously i don't have a 5th gear. Thanks in anticipation. Chris
