Looks like an excellent buy for someone, shame it's lost it's carpets etc. At 9,000 miles, they should have been well useable.

Being a painter I’m going to colour match that cable and paint my new black cable . If some members don’t know , what you need to do is add plenty of flexible additive to the paint so that you can reasonably bend the cable without the paint cracking . Wait to beaulieu next year ! . I’m bound to have a few people telling me it’s a rare cable 😊

The stuff above is what I looked at, it is WAY too thin.

I only say this to save anyone else wasting their money :)

shame, colour looks close though, which is encouraging.

I had wondered if colour might not be available due to some environmental reason...

Maybe we shouldn't be so surprised at the madness developing. I'd noted one sold on ebay in 2009 at £158 and one in 2010 at £215 which, given how much mini parts prices have increased since then, almost makes this one a bargain!

I’d love it but this:

Delving into the Moke's design history, I had forgotten that Sir Alec Issigonis had been the brains behind the “Moke” as well as the “Cooper”; he really was a brilliant and revolutionary designer as he used an identical engine, transmission and suspension parts to the Cooper and as a result, it was really fun to drive.

Kinda made me vomit violently, I don’t really think he had forgotten.

Not a big subscriber to this part of the forum - or Ebay generally, but saw this obscure bit of mini kit.

item number 1551 6549 5629 MELCO plug spanner in reasonably good condition to complete your original 'as sold' tool set.
