Mark you will easily get in with a Lotus 😊🤭
Did you mean to post the VSCC weekend entry?

I’ve still not heard whether I’m in or not.

Annie called me last week to offer me a run on the Sunday as I’m taking the car for the Gerry Marshall tribute. I’ve probably blown that anyway now since my off on Sunday. We’ll see. I might go anyway without a car. She did explain that though there will be Minis they wanted an even spread of different cars (fair enough) and had prioritised MAC members and championship competitors (also fair enough and standard practice). She also admitted the current system of entrants paying months up front before even getting a confirmed entry wasn’t the right way to do it and was seeking to change that. Couldn’t really argue with any of that but they shouldn’t have publicised a Mini class in the first place because that drew a lot of entries who they had to disappoint.

Glad you gave them some feedback Pete.

Whilst getting an entry is always difficult and for many impossible, I have to be honest and say that it's the fact that they sit on your money for so long that really yanks my chain. Nowadays, there is no reason for doing it apart from to puff their bank account up until the event.

That’s gonna stop apparently Mark, and so it should. I even hate paying for gig tickets months up front, some promoters have people’s hard earned cash for a bloody year!!

Anyway there we go, publishing a Mini class wasn’t their best idea. I still love the event though and might drag Minty down even if she’s not fixed.

Good luck.
We need to change our diff as I don't think a cam and pawl will work at Shesley
I have a 30/90 minispares evolution so a busy weekend coming up.

Cheers.

I don’t think I’ve ever actually seen one of those, post some pics when you get it out.

Seen the entry lists now and I’m coming round to Mark’s theory that they just don’t want northerners there.😆.

There’s about a dozen Minis on Saturday and there were none on Sunday but now there’s two, me being one. 50/50 for a class win then! Two weeks to fix the car is just not realistic though.

I think all entrants are either MAC members or in a championship.

Hi Pete
If it's still in one piece you can use our Mini on Sunday as we don't have an entry that day but will still be there.
Just let me know and I will send you the details.

Ahem! That's Rich's crackpot theory. I have never subscribed to it myself. But I do think that there is a strong case of "if your face fits". But if all entrants are club members or championship contenders then that goes some way to explaining things. That being said, I paid for club membership for 3 years & it made not a blind bit of difference.

Virtually everyone on the Saturday is in a championship, even those that look like they aren’t, are, as they’ve put the wrong class down on the entry form.

Well. After my little slip up last weekend I definitely won’t be taking Minty this year sadly. 🤦‍♂️
