SR = Sears, Roebuck & Co.

Sears contracted with a U.K. manufacturer in the 1960s to produce aftermarket replacement wheels for several makes, including Volkswagen.

Is "Made in England" stamped anywhere on the wheel? If so, it was probably intended for sale in the U.S. and Canada through Sears.
