It's a standard model as well, no overriders or dash vinyl, single speedo and sealed rear windows. Extremely rare even 40 years ago. It's f*ck*d but fairly complete. Probably not a bad buy for £1000 or so.
It probably failed an MOT test in the late seventies which is why it's not on the DVLA computer.
I have been able to track back on previous owners and copies of former log books from the DVLA (they used to provide info and copies) All of which prove that it was always a genuine cooper s and rallied. I spoke with it's second owner last night, who confirmed it had been rallied and originally reshelled prior to his ownership in 1977.
It looks as it had a hard rally life as the chap Tony bought it from in 1981 had also rallied it, and it was therefore in need of another shell, and all Tony could get hold of at that point was the mk4 shell it still has.

Indeed... how can it be 'genuine as it left the factory' on 10" wheels with a black Newton interior?
I don't know as much about 1275GTs as I do about some earlier models, but I'd have said that car is Antique Gold as opposed to Harvest Gold. Also, and I know that colours often look different in photos - I'd have guessed that the interior is Midnight Blue rather than Black?
I know that several on here own or are restoring Mini Vans/Pick-ups and I spotted a BROWN FRONT SEAT on ebay earlier which I reckon is for one of these.
I don't know how to do a link but the ebay reference is 304435808044 "Vintage car seat". It is nothing to do with me but it might be needed by somebody and isn't well listed so might get overlooked

It should of course be velour for that year of car - pre deck chair stripe but post perforated vinyl. If the car were Harvest Gold and earlier it would have been Olive or Sorrel vinyl.
