Fuel line “plumbing”

Post by Austinmini1966 »

Was wondering if anyone has any photos of the positioning and pipe work leading from the pump up to the tank? Trying to replicate as close to original as possible but struggling. Many thanks

Pump to the tank is a braided fuel line directly from one to the other surely. Or am I missing something/

Do you by any means mean from the under bonnet to the pump? As Peter says, it is just a braided pipe from pump to tank. Originally with a rubber washer (originally to hold the tank overflow pipe I believe), and sealed with dum dum on the underside.

Thank you for that photo …. What appears to be throwing me is the replacement panel which someone has put in only has only a small hole which I assume is for the wiring down to the fuel pump? Holes for the fuel lines I assume will need to therefore be made? Many thanks

Hopefully this photo shows the single hole.

Yes there should be two holes. I have searched through my own car pics without joy, then found this one from my general pic collection. Best I can find sorry. Hope it helps?

Thank you very much for that. Wonder why the new floors don’t have the two holes stamped in them? I’ll gather as many photos as I can do ensure it goes in the right place.
