Flywheel BHP

Post by jakethepeg »

Just saw this quoted in an ebay ad, does it seem reasonable for the spec

Minispares 1380 A+ with Omega pistons, balanced rods, full rotational balance. Stage 3 head, 10.5:1 compression, centre main strap, Minisport CA2 cam, Duplex timing set, 1.3:1 roller rockers, Facet fuel pump, Malpassi fuel pressure regulator, fully reconditioned TWIN 1.75" SU HIF44 carbs on custom manifold, produced 132 flywheel horsepower.

Ca2 is a road cam similar to a 2a 948 997 cooper cam and with 1.3 rockers would not give anything near 130 bhp
Twin hif 44s not suitable for the cam and would spoil flexibility at low revs
Flywheel bhp quoted from a rolling road can be very inaccurate
