I'm thinking of fitting the straight chrome door trim at the weekend & seeking advice on how the trim should be fitted using the appropriate clips that I have bought as I am not sure how the clips should fit on the inner side of the trim so they will clip over the top edge of the door against the window channel strip. I have attached a photo of a clip I have fitted into the trim but I'm not sure if this is the correct way they should be fitted, any help on this subject will be appreciated.

Re: Door chrome trim
Yes that's the way to fit them, But the issue I had was that the repro clips I had were not strong enough, and snapped as they were pushed on. Not being able to find original clips, I just left it in place with about half the clips holding it and added a bit of black Tiger seal from the inside edge. no worries with it comming loose now...

I’d agree with Nick, the repro ones just aren’t up to the job.
Luckily the upper trim holds the two ends into place !!

I used clips like that, or rather tried to and they just split
I used the ones from minispares or similar which are black and are much better
