I'm building a spare 1275 S engine at the moment. I've reassembled it before it goes to the machine shop to check piston height, end thrust Etc. I noticed the Bearing shell tangs don't align in the normal fashion on the rear main.
Anyone seen this before? The other two are fine.
As a side note, Years ago, I pulled another 1275 S apart to find one piston installed backwards from the factory.
Rear main cap machined wrong from new.
