I've a few of the triangle thrust bearings in my spares and a couple carry the TAM2014 number with a Fm- stamp too. They are all used but a couple look like they have next to no wear. How do the new ones compare as I think I have read that the bearing surfaces may not so good on the new ones?
Any insights anyone?

Re: Advice on Cam triangle thrust bearing plate
As long as they're flat & unridged, and the endfloat is within tolerance, I'm in the camp that will reuse them as being 'probably better quality than new ones'.
No science behind that, just a comparison with most everything else we get peddled these days...

Certainly the new one I saw didn't inspire much confidence as I couldn't see any evidence of a softer thrust surface.
I just used a perfect original in the end.

I use new ones with the Fn stamp regularly, and have never had an issue.

I haven't found any suppliers here in the UK who sell the original ones. Am I missing someone obvious???

Re: Advice on Cam triangle thrust bearing plate
MiniSport claim to have them under TAM2014, but may be the same as MiniSpares' AHU2379. If the original TAM part would be available I don't see why Minispares wouldn't sell them, so the MiniSport offering doesn't have any truck with me.
Of course I know what a dipstick is, you get called something often enough you look it up!
