As per title. Can anyone tell me what thread is used for the bypass hose adaptor? Thanks for looking

5/8 x 16 TPI whit form

Same as crank thread

Amazing what you learn here!!!!! Who'd have even guessed that - let alone KNEW it I wouldn't mind betting that someone on this forum has a tap and die for it too. Amazing.........

I think the size is relatively well known or available Peter, certainly no secret - it’s given on MiniSpares site for the adapter and the plug:

It's a good price for a set of three taps.

Seems the thread was fairly widely used on old British bikes, as well as BMC A Series engines!
